Medicare Supplement Open Enrollment

What does Medicare Supplement Open Enrollment mean?

Most people get one chance at their Open Enrollment, however, some will get a second chance.

  • Open Enrollment starts the month your Medicare Part B starts and continues for 6 months.

  • Many carriers allow you to lock in your Medigap Rate 6 months prior to your Part B start date.

    • Some states and carriers allow only 3 months.

  • During open enrollment, you can enroll into any plan that is available to you with any carrier without health questions and the need to medically qualify.

  • You can change as often as you want during this period without having to qualify medically.
